Goals The goals of the "A safe Oktoberfest for Women and Girls" program are: - Increase the overall safety and the individual feeling of safety of women and girls
- Make public help services for affected girls and women
- Strengthen and encourage civil courage and actions of solidarity
- Promote the awareness of sexual assaults at the Oktoberfest
- Make possibilities of action public: How can women and girls protect themselves from violence? How can I, as visitor, intervene in sexual assaults?
| Target Groups The program addresses visitors of the Oktoberfest and all those who are employed there: showmen, all those employed in gastronomy and tourism and public and private security and transportation personnel. Men should be called upon to show responsibility, and potential offenders should be discouraged. For affected women and girls the program will provide appropriate help and advice. Furthermore, it is important to talk about this taboo-subject "sexual violence" and thus sensitize the public. |
